Members can receive medical guidance, diagnosis (if the necessary medical information is provided), and a treatment and/or prescription (when legally possible and available).  Members can also inquire with the doctor about a suggested treatment.  Diagnosis and treatment will require that the provider receive the appropriate clinical information. 

There may be limitations regarding the type of care that can be provided through telemedicine as opposed to a traditional face-to-face visit.  Furthermore, there may be local governmental restrictions regarding prescriptions and the ability to prescribe medication will depend on the local laws and the licensure of the medical practitioner. 

Telemedicine is not appropriate for emergency situations and should only be used for minor acute medical conditions.

The Teladoc Health network includes over 3,500 doctors worldwide.  There are approximately 450 doctors licensed around the globe and over 3,100 healthcare professionals covering all 50 states in the U.S.  All doctors are actively practicing medicine in a traditional office setting as well as remotely. Whether directly employed by Teladoc Health or contracted, all doctors have completed Advance Medical's training process and protocols.

Download and view a copy of your benefits from the Member Hub on the GeoBlue website. You can access the member login by visiting the For Members page and clicking the login button. If you need any assistance, contact customer service using the phone number provided on the For Members page or email [email protected]. 

Once you have identified a GeoBlue plan that works best for your travel needs, a primary health plan may be required as a condition of eligibility. A primary health plan is a group health benefit plan, an individual health benefit plan or governmental health plan (e.g. Medicare). Note: Medicaid and V.A. health plans do not constitute primary health insurance. The primary plan does not need to be a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield medical plan in order to be eligible.

To file a claim online visit your member administration portal.

If your plan includes coverage within the U.S., you have access to the Blue Cross Blue Shield network in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. You can find a doctor or hospital in the network through the Member Hub and through the GeoBlue app.  If you are not logged in, you may find a doctor or hospital by visiting the Blue National Doctor and Hospital Finder. Be sure to present your ID Card at the time of service in the U.S. to the participating provider.
